-
retired members: retired Luxembourg museum professionals who joined ICOM when still active, subject to their compliance with the fundamental principles of professional ethics applicable to active staff members
-
student members: persons enrolled in museum-related academic programmes (museology studies)
-
supporting members: individuals who support ICOM or ICOM Luxembourg due to an interest in museums and in international museum cooperation
Persons who trade in objects of cultural and natural heritage cannot become members.
Membership requests
Anyone wishing to become a member of ICOM Luxembourg must complete a membership application. The Board of Directors decides on all requests within 6 months from the date of submission. If the membership application is accepted, the annual fee for the current year is due. Due to the fact that certain museums choose to cover the contributions of their staff, we kindly ask applicants to check with their administration if they are applicable to such a scheme in order to avoid double payments. Upon receipt of payment of the membership fee, applicants will be considered members and receive their membership card with the current sticker. Membership is valid each year from 1 January to 31 December.
The membership application form must be completed and sent by post or e-mail to:
